BOWEN DRYDEN certainly pushes the boundary.

Flattering silhouettes with wide necklines and clever seaming suit not only the willowy figures but voluptuous brides alike. Fit is so important to us, that’s why each dress has been designed to boast an impressive structure ensuring that every bride looks and feels flawless on their day.
We understand that boutiques are looking for a collection that doesn’t separate silhouette or lack on trend.

Christine and Jane are the creative talents behind the successful Loulou label which celebrated its 21st birthday in 2012!
After graduating from the London College of Fashion in Design and Pattern Cutting, they worked together for a small London based bridal company where in 1991 with a wealth of experience and a shared passion for bridal wear, they decided to create Loulou, their own label specializing in bridesmaid dresses.
These distinctive designs were chic and contemporary leading to Christine and Jane accepting the British Bridal Award for Best Bridesmaid design no less than 4 times.
A funky range of prom dresses followed that were bright and exciting, edgy dresses for discerning girls and soon after, the Loulou Bridal Collection was launched.
This latest addition to the Loulou label encapsulates quintessential British design inspired by all things vintage. The dresses are evocative of the 1950’s and combine beautiful lace appliqué short wedding gowns with effortless styling, establishing a signature for future collections.
‘‘Our success comes down to enjoying what we do. We still have a passion to create new designs, enjoy meeting customers and love the challenge of keeping ahead of the others!’’

I have always loved shoes since I was a small child, it’s been a lifelong obsession!
After school I studied a Fashion and Textile degree in Birmingham, where I specialised in hand made embroidered shoes for my final degree work.
During my degree I had been fortunate enough to do work experience with renowned shoe designers Emma Hope and Jimmy Choo at their studios in London, it was doing this that gave me the confidence to go it alone and set up my own studio in Islington, London in 1988!
I forged good working relationships with the bridal press and regularly had my shoes featured in all the magazines, after making a pair for one of the editors, they were featured in the magazine and I arrived in my studio one morning to find my answerphone completely full of brides to be wanting my shoes! After that I never looked back and wedding shoes have been my passion ever since. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s big day.
One of my proudest moments was being commissioned to make a pair of wedding shoes for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, it’s an amazing feeling knowing something you’ve made will become a little piece of history.
I now live in the beautiful Cotswolds, working from my garden studio, and am Head of Design for Rainbow Club, whom I joined in 2006, I absolutely love my job designing for all of the Rainbow Club collections and am lucky enough to work alongside a great team, the Hassall range is of course dearest to my heart!
I’ve known Lynette at Boho Bride Boutique for many years, she’s a great friend and a total professional. The shop is beautiful, with a lovely romantic, vintage feel, and full of gorgeous dresses and accessories, a really lovely environment to choose your dream dress, and of course Lynette’s service is second to none.

“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun”
Mary Lou Cook.
Designing is our passion and our inspirations are widespread: the subtle palette of the Impressionists, vintage fashion plates, silver screen movie stars and theatrical design not to mention our mothers who introduced us to the sewing machine. We love understated glamour and like nothing more than a well cut dress with clean lines and romantic detailing. For us everything is in the detail.
While we love what we do, our business could never have worked so effectively if we weren’t such great friends. ‘LouLou’ (a combination of our middle names) was set up in 1991 and today, over twenty years later; we are still together despite the competing demands of a design partnership, friendship and motherhood. We put this down to loyalty, quiet determination, a willingness to think positively, a shared sense of humour and a great deal of laughter along the way.
We remain as passionately committed to quality design as we always have been which is unmistakable in our exciting first Louise Bentley collection.
