Valentines Day Competition

Back in February we ran a competition to win a Luxury Bridal Styling Appointment.

The lucky bride would have a whole day of pampering and to finish off the day the bride and her guests were treated to afternoon tea.

Our lucky competition winner Charlotte, tagged everyone on the plant to win the prize. Little did Charlie know she was actually going to find her perfect wedding dress too!

The prize included a mini hair and makeup trial at The Little Salon.

This is what Charlie had to say about her special day.

How did you find out about the Boho Bride competition?

I started following Boho Bride after my venue shared a photo to Instagram of one of their dresses, which I immediately loved so thought I would start following to see what other dresses they have!

What made you enter the competition?

I would never have gone for the luxury bridal styling appointment because I didn’t think it was worth it. But then when I saw there was a competition, I thought I might as well try and I’m so pleased I did!

How did you feel when you found out you had won?

Super excited! It was also so nice that I could bring 3 people so my MOH, sister and Mum got to come along too!

How was your experience at The Little Hair Salon?

It was really nice to feel pampered! I’ve never had my makeup done professionally before and typically I don’t wear a lot of makeup so this was a fun experience!

Were you happy with the finished look?

It was great to see myself with my hair and makeup done in the wedding dresses to get a better idea of how I’d look on the day.

How was your experience at Boho Bride?

Lynette made such a fuss out of me I felt so special! We got on instantly and she was very inclusive of my friends and family! I loved going around putting the tags on the dresses I wanted to try on, we actually ran out of tags because I wanted to try so many on! Funny that I ended up going for the dress that I tried on first! But there was honestly about 6 dresses that I could have said yes to, they were all so beautiful.

How did you feel about trying on the dresses?

Before this experience, I had been to three other wedding dress shops/boutiques. Which were all lovely, but none of them had dresses that actually fit me, stocking mainly size 6-10. As a pretty average UK size this is really disappointing and it made my wedding dress experience at this point was pretty rubbish. You’re supposed to be feeling your most beautiful and excited and have that “this is the one” moment! But I really felt like I was going to have to settle for a dress that I wasn’t 100% on and didn’t know how it would look actually on me.

In comes Boho bride… I felt so beautiful in all of the dresses I tried on, I could really tell the quality difference. And just having a more inclusive range of sizes made a huge difference.

What was the best moment?

Probably when I realised that the dress was exactly what I was looking for, without me even knowing what I was looking for! (I hope that makes sense!)

Did you expect to find your dream wedding dress and say yes to the Boho Bride dress?

I thought there was a chance I would find a dress… but I didn’t think I would end up with a totally bespoke dress designed just for me from the Freedom Collection range! And I really didn’t think it would be me choosing between several that I loved!

How was your afternoon tea?

Obviously, it was a surprise that I was going to actually “say yes to the dress” on that day, but having the afternoon tea afterwards was such a nice way to end the experience. The excitement didn’t end when we left Boho Bride and we got treated to some delicious food and tea! The cakes were truly fantastic!

Would you recommend brides to be book a Luxury Bridal Styling appointment and why?

It made a massive difference having my hair and makeup done when I was trying on dresses! Previously when I tried dresses on, I wasn’t wearing any makeup and hadn’t done my hair, and it was really hard to see myself in a wedding dress! But when I was all glammed up it made me feel so good about myself and could imagine how I’d look on my wedding day!

Just to let you know, the dresses Charlie tried on in the photos are not any of the ones she said “yes” to.
